Douglas Cole has started his Kickstarter for Dungeon Grappling., a supplement that expands grappling rules for D&D 5th Edition, Pathfinder, older versions of D&D and retroclones. These rules essentially apply the same concepts used in GURPS Martial Arts: Technical Grappling. I playtested this, it is good, and only $5.

The GURPS Ally (p. B36) advantage expressly allows nonsentient (IQ 0) allies (and even specifies that they have no cap on point cost relative to the PC; p. B37), and GURPS allows (more-or-less) for almost anything to be built as a "character". However, many GURPS GMs seem to find this to be pretty abusable and don't allow or use this option.

Since the GURPS Dungeon Fantasy line began, there have been complaints about the tone of the writing. Many readers seem to feel that the humorous, often silly, style either misrepresents or discourages what they feel the line is capable of.

Last Sunday, I officially started my first new GURPS game in over a year, using GURPS Horror: The Madness Dossier. There are seven players in this game (which is a big group for me) and this was a character making session.
