Iron Gods (Backwards), The Choking Tower: Session 3

I've fallen a couple of sessions behind on these recaps. This is session three from two weeks ago. Again spoilers for a published adventure path behind the jump.

Characters:
Modok:  Android Magus (Bladedroid, Kensai)/7 with 26 Fame
- Balance: Artificial Intelligence/5, AI weapon, NPC
Tebryn Vonnarc: Drow Magus (Eldritch Scion, Spelldancer)/7 with 27 Fame
- Kalvora: Viper, familiar, NPC
Dagna Skyforge:  Dwarf Magus(Soulforger)/7 with 25 Fame
Ankul Bitor: Ratfolk Magus/4 Alchemist (Vivisectionist)/1 Rogue/2 with 24 Fame
- Steeltail: Ratfolk Rogue/4, NPC (League Hireling)

The party rested, and went back to the Skelton well at night. There ended up being some debate about what to do about Ilaris, that would have happened at this time, but actually didn't happen out of game until later. I decided to allow them to retcon it, since it was largely an artifact of the session break.

They went back down the well, and found a small chamber filled with water with a sparking broken door randomly opening and closing to the north. Ankul Bitor disarmed this "trap" and they moved on into the wreckage.

They found a chamber where Furkas Xoud had accidentally activated a recording device while exploring and where able to replay the message. They learned that Xoud thought what he was looking for (Casandalee) was here and that he had some kind of invisible henchman with him.

They then entered a much larger chamber, with huge industrial machines, that was strangely familiar to Modok. Here they found a storage closet where Ilaris was camping. They tell her that they are there hunting for Furkas Xoud when they stumbled on to her, Tebryn makes a fairly decent bluff check (and she seems to believe it). She says she's looking for mutagens for Ghartone's research. They agree to help her. She warns them that there's some deformed looking androids prowling around down here.

They start moving into the complex and open a door into a room full of tools. Some deformed androids come around the corner from the other direction, and a hidden android (deformed but significantly less so) starts shooting with her timeworn zero pistol from inside the room as soon as the fighting starts. She nearly drops Dagna (who seems to keep getting tagged because she's usually point man when they expect trouble).  After Modok took out the gunslinger the deformed androids weren't much of a threat and were quickly dispatched.

When the gunslinger died, she uttered some fairly ominous final words, “You won’t
take my mind! The Dominion can’t have my mind!” EDIT: Nobody succeeded on the Knowledge check to figure out what this means.

While investigating the machine shop, they discovered it is a functioning Production Lab (just needs power) and there was some discussion about how to move it back to Starfall. They also found three fully charged timeworn commsets.

While discussing what to do about that room, Ankul Bitor heard the door to the neighboring room open, and they caught four more deformed androids trying to ambush them. Again I learn that grenades are really hard to use effectively in Pathfinder, and they get mostly thrown back at the throwers. Otherwise the deformed androids get killed rather quickly without doing much damage to the PCs.

They decide to quickly clear the adjoining rooms while they still have spells up next week and we broke for the evening.
