Madness Dossier- Talent Alternative Benefits

As I mentioned in my earlier post I'm using the Alternative Benefits rule from GURPS Power Ups 3: Talents p. 18. GURPS Horror: The Madness Dossier has a few talents that don't appear in that book and here are the benefits they provide in my game.

Esmologist (The Madness Dossier p. 15)
15/level
Alternative Benefit: +1/level to the first Influence roll against a social group after using one of the affected skills to predict or model that group. This stacks with the +3 from a successful Esmology roll.

Innate NLP (The Madness Dossier p. 15)
15/level
Alternative Benefit: +1/level to resist Influence and Enthrallment skills.

 Memetics (The Madness Dossier p. 16, Power Ups 3: Talents p. 12)
10/level
Alternative Benefit: As Talents p. 12 and the bonus extends to resistance to Enthrallment skills.

The Bat (The Madness Dossier p. 23)
5/level
Alternative Benefit: Inflicts -1 per two levels to Fright Checks caused directly by The Bat's actions.

Damballah (The Madness Dossier p. 23)
5/level
Alternative Benefit: +1 CP/level when grappling the neck.

Elvis (The Madness Dossier p. 23)
5/level
Alternative Benefit: +1/level to the first Influence roll of any kind made on an audience member (or several of them as a group) after a successful performance.

Legba (The Madness Dossier p. 23)
5/level
Alternative Benefit: Add half the levels of the talent to the bonus for Complimentary Skills (GURPS Action 2: Exploits p. 5) to skill rolls benefiting from a successful use of an affected skill and +1/level to IQ rolls to interpret omens when the omen directly answers a question asked of the cheval by another character within the same day.

Loup-Garou (The Madness Dossier p. 23)
5/level
Alternative Benefit: You may use the special IQ roll described for Empathy (p. B51) on characters within 2 yards that you are able to smell, except this roll is at IQ-4 +1/level and you are only capable of understanding emotions in simplistic terms, as though the subject also had the Bestial disadvantage.

Sherlock (The Madness Dossier p. 23)
5/level
Alternative Benefit: +1/level to the IQ roll for Intuition after successful use of an affected skill eliminates a possible choice.

Wabbit (The Madness Dossier p. 23)
5/level
Alternative Benefit: +1/level (or -1/level to an opponent's rolls) to any rerolls from Luck (halve this bonus for active defenses).

Obviously, these haven't been playtested, so feedback is especially appreciated.

  1. Those all look pretty plausible. The Talent I saw played most was Esmologist, and that alternative benefit is definitely appropriate.

    1. The ones that actually appear on the current PCs are Esmologist (on the Applied Anthropologist), Innate NLP (on the Neurolinguist) and both Damballah and Wabbit are Loa of one of the Chevals.
