Giant Scorpions (p. 38)
"A" is for Arachnid Hakuur Haraldson wants to expand his menagerie of beasts and will pay a small fortune for giant scorpions. Fortunately the delvers know where to find them. The Vefskógur was once the home of an Elder Spider (p. 12), and her offspring still inhabit this web-shrouded forest. All manner of arachnid monsters dwell here among the ancient oaks and ash: Acid Spiders (DFRPG Monsters p, 16), Baby Acid Spider Swarms (p. 44), Edderkops (Norðlond Bestiary p. 67) , Giant Spiders (DFRPG Monsters p. 31), Giant Sunspiders (p. 43) , Scorpion Swarms (DFRPG Monsters p. 54), Spider Swarms (DFRPG Monsters p, 54) and Phase Spiders (Norðlond Bestiary p. 153). It also has giant scorpions which Hakuur will pay big rewards for live specimens, more for bigger specimens or for babies. Since scorpions give live birth there's no easy "steal some eggs" option here.
Siege Beetle (p. 40)
Steinsporðdreki (p. 41)
The Return The elven tribe of Hagmer has been lost for far longer than the memory of man, vanished into the southwest and into legend. That was, until today. Now a strange desert elfárd army marches into Norðlond, and among them are champions with the body of scorpions. They seek a redress of ancient wrongs and aren't pleased that humans have supplanted their old enemies in their homeland. Repelling this invasion will take a mix of diplomacy, detective work on a millenia cold case, and warfare
Stórþarmaormur (p. 42)
A Poison Without Compare Somebody really, really wants to make sure someone else (or something else) dies. This could be the delver's themselves, looking for a weapon against a difficult foe, or they could be hired by a patron, Either way they find themselves journeying through the Dragongrounds trying to attract death worms so they can milk them.
Sun-Spider, Giant (p. 43)
For the Herd The Followers-of-Bladewing Clan of bjöllufólk want to improve their livestock and are paying for wild giant sun-spider eggs. This requires finding egg-sacs buried in burrows and getting them out, without being killed by adult wild giant sun-spiders.
